Eco Factor: Zero-emission electric car to be made from bio-composite materials.

Motive Industries has announced that the company has developed Canada’s first bio-composite bodied electric car called the Kestrel. The zero-emission car will debut during the September EV 2010 VE Conference and Trade Show to be held in Vancouver. The four passenger electric car features a body made from impact resistant bio-composite material, which is derived from hemp mats produced by Alberta Innovates Technology Future.

Motive Industries has designed and engineered the Kestrel for participation in Project Eve, and entirely Canadian initiative with the goal of furthering the production of electric vehicle and electric vehicle components in Canada.
