First it was only a few caring individuals, then it was a few caring men who had some political influence, then it was high-profile politicians, Hollywood celebrities, pop stars, sportsmen & now it has crept on to the gaming world as well. It seems that with each passing day more & more individuals of the world comprehend the magnitude of the current environmental crisis & are trying to do their little part for a global cause. This is something nice to see; that men, from the law-makers to those who abide by it are equally aware of their duties towards the planet.
The gaming world seems to have played its own little part as well. I am not someone who is really in to the Xbox 360 or the PS3 stuff. But I do enjoy an odd game here & there. I always loved the product quality of Sony though & maybe that has to do a lot with the sound tracks that the company seems to churn out. With the new 40GB Play Station 3, Sony has incorporated a 65nm version of cell inside the new console to save on power. It not only cuts down on the hard disk, but also cuts down on the power consumption form 200 Watts to 135 Watts. That is a wonderful way of saving power indeed.
This also means that your gaming experience is a lot calmer, with less sound & less heat being produced. All this not only leads to a better gaming experience, but also helps save some valuable energy. Surely Sony has upped its game a couple of notches here!
